We continued our unit of learning about pieces of clothing: falda, pantalones, playera, blusa, camisa, vestido, chamarra, zapatos, sandalias, pulsera, collar, etc.
Also, we completed sheets where the children traced on white lines between fun pictures. These exercises help them develop fine motor skills like pencil control as well as pre-writing skills like tracing over or in-between lines.Outside the children really enjoyed using their sense of touch with mud left over after the rains we've had. They "cooked, baked, stirred, cut, portioned, served" all kinds of pretend-foods!
This looks like so much fun! I'm trying to get my kids involved in local Spanish immersion programs right now. There are a lot of options, so it's just a matter of picking the best one. I think being bilingual is one of the most useful things you can learn these days. http://chispaspain.com
ReplyDeleteYes, learning a second language is very beneficial at any age in terms of brain development and social interaction and it's also very useful in being able to communicate with more people! Our preschool accepts children 2-5 years old. Thank you for your comment!
