Frutas y verduras

In April our unit of study is foods. We started learning about fruits, frutas, and vegetables, verduras. We reviewed vocabulary words and glued pictures of fruits and vegetables onto paper plates. We sang

Diez tortillas

Uno, dos, tres tortillas
cuatro, cinco, seis tortillas
siete, ocho, nueve tortillas
diez tortillas deliciosas...
The children enjoyed painting and doing sensory activities with shaving cream and paint.

We are also doing sorting and classifying. The children sort and classify toy insects according to their color or species or size or other criteria of their choosing.
Outside the children enjoyed playing with the soft mud and water that was left after the rains. They "cooked" and "baked" many foods with mud, water, sand, grass, leaves, etc...




We learned that in Spanish just like in English la letra C can be pronounced two ways: as a hard C (Case, comida, caballo, cosa, casa, cuatro) and a soft C (cepillo, cerezas, cebolla, ciruela, cinco, etc)
