D​​​​ía de las brujas/D​​​​ía de los muertos

Feliz día de las brujas a todos! Happy Halloween everyone!

We talked about different traditions different families have around Halloween, día de los muertos, día de todos santos. We learned vocabulary like ara​ña, gato negro, bruja, calabaza, l​ámpara de calabaza, fantasma, calavera, esqueleto, etc. The children enthusiastically shared what costumes (disfraz) they were going to dress up in for our community party and for Halloween!

We learned some words that start with la letra o: ojo, ocho, óvalo, orejas, oso, olla, olas, oveja. We have children that from time to time pretend to be the teacher and others are the students!

The children really enjoyed playing outside with all the ride-on toys.

They enjoy lots of sensory play in our sandbox.
